A Little Closet Makeover

Since being pregnant I have been so tired, but all of a sudden the nesting has hit me. I took some pics to showcase my finished project. Sorry the pics are from my iPhone.

First up is my very favorite I call it my wall o'shoes. I was lucky enough to already have these amazing cubbies built into my closet so I immediately thought it was the perfect place to display my obsession of heels.

{You can build your own cubbies with the closet kits at Home Depot or Lowes}

Next I wanted to get me necklaces untangled and hung up so I could see what I had. I bought some clear sticky hooks and lined them up on the side of my cubbies for the longer pieces. Which made for a beautiful display and made it easy for me to pick what I would wear each day.

{The hooks are Command Brand and be purchased at Target}

I left one cubby free to display my perfumes, nail polishes and other necessities.

I also left a cubby for all my amazing hats, so they would be easy to see and get to.

In my front and center cubby I have again hung shorter necklaces from clear hooks. Bracelets, rings, earrings and headwraps all are nesting in clear trays for easy access and visibility. Also left a spot for my sunnies and a few more polishes.

On the other side of the jewelry I organized my smaller handbags, pocketbooks and clutches.

Yes I know I am in desperate need of new matching hangers. Other than that I did color coordinate my tops which is so nice to keep getting dressed easy.

Lastly, I needed a bit more space. I added a temporary bar that hangs from the top one. This space way perfect for my skirts, shorts and jackets.

I did have to move all my dresses to my daughters room ;) still not enough room. What does your closet look like?

Sorry I have been working my butt off on The Lab Event and then hosting it and now recovering from it. I have a few sneak peeks from the event so I must share. Everything went great and everyone had a blast. We had some amazing Fashion Bloggers strutting thier stuff in amazing Sarah Seven dresses. The night ended with some dancing and drinking and partying it up.

Prepping for the New Year

For a day in the office I like to wear something fun and still a bit professional. For the Glitter Guide shoot I wore my fav bright red Forever 21 skirt, Burberry cropped trench, Ban.do headband, and Zara booties. I love this look cuz it shows that I am not afraid of color.

With Fall on it's way I must say I have been a bit obsessed with fur. There is something so nostalgic about fur that reminds me of my grandmother. I have been lucky enough to even receive a few furs from her and I am so excited to pull them out of the closet this fall. Of course faux and vintage furs are the only way to go.

A Day in the Sun

Well it looks like summer is hitting it's highs here in Cali a bit late. I have another post from my Glitter Guide shoot for you today. I decided to take it outside for some lovely shots by the pool over looking the bay. I threw on my favorite Urban Outfitter white high waisted eyelet shorts to add a nautical feel to the outfit and paired them with a rust red cropped Anthropologie top and some booties I picked up while in Rome at a small boutique. The whole look was topped off with a Nine West big floppy hat.

I recently got a few items that I am literally obsessed with. I have been really into bright colors and trying to squeeze every last bit out of what little summer we have left I picked up a bottle of Face nail polish from J.Crew in a super bright orange. I literally died when I put it on this stuff is so think and I only had to do ONE coat. Can you believe it? I would definitely pick up a bottle the next time you are in there.

While I was in J.Crew I scored this perfect little necklace.

Super fun right? What is better thank clear crystal strung on bright orange and white bakers twine? PS did I mention I got it in the kids section?

Next up is this luxurious pair of Alice + Olivia shorts which I got from Shop Bop. I might just have a closet half full of stripes, but I still just had to have these shorts. I am planning on rockin' them with a bright red blousy top and some black Loubi's.

So I am starting to gather my fall essentials for this year and over the knee boots are at the top of my list. I have been in the market for a while but now it is time to get serious. Lovely Weekend

Since my hubby was out of town for most of the weekend I decided to have a girlie weekend. It is almost essential to shop on a girly weekend so I headed to San Francisco with my mom and sister-in-law. We decided to have a few friends over for an impromtu dinner party. I made shrimp, broccoli and zuccini in a spicy asian sauce and it was killer if I do say so myself.

Now that Spring is officially here I am loving these little white dresses. I cannot wait to slip one of these on with a pair of bright heels and go out on the town with my love. Something about a simple crisp white dress that screams sophistication. Pair it with a bright color sweater or navy sweater for more chilly nights.

Weekend in wine country

I had a fantastic weekend. I was up in Napa Valley for a friends bachlorette party and we had a great time full of tons of wine, food and great memories. Friday night we headed out to dinner and then drinks with many hilarious stories to tell from that night and then Saturday we took vintage limos to 3 amazing and hidden wineries and enjoyed lunch of cheeses, breads and fruit on a private deck over looking the vineyards. Then dinner at a phenominal resturant. Check out these pics.

New Look and off for a weekend get away

Well I have been wanting to create a new banner and I finally had a little bit of time so I did. I hope you like it.

This weekend I am off to Napa Valley, Calistoga to be exact for a weekend getaway. I am so excited to Celebrate on of my brides bachlorette weekend with her and all our friends. We are going wine tasting in limos all day, dinner at a wonderful resturant and a day at the spa. I will be sure to post pictures after the weekend. I hope you all have an amazing weekend as well.

Spring has Sprung

This weekend put me in the mood for Summer. It was beautiful and sunny. I spent the Sunday in the city and it was gorgeous. I love spring and summer, the both compete for my favorite season. Because of this love I have for sun shiney days I just had to share with you the new Marc Jacobs Spring collection. I love all the bright and vibrant colors. What are your thoughts?

Sorry for the lack of posts. Wedding season is in full force so I have been very busy. But I promise I will be more consistant from now on.

Birthday celebration and Christmas is around the corner

Thank you all for your birthday wishes you are all so sweet. I had an amazing time. So I woke up and my hubby gave me my gift and guess what? He got me the dark grey True Religion Jeans I had wished for. and oh they are even better in person. Then we went out to breakfast. That night we had an amazing dinner at Tomatina's in Walnut Creek full of dinner and wine. Saturday night we went out to dinner with friends in San Fransisco dinner at Beetlenut which is one of the best resturants I have ever been to. Here we enjoyed seared steak, firecracker chicken, Indonesian noodles, sake and much much more. After dinner we headed around the corner to Matrix which is a really nice upscale lounge, we enjoyed more drinks and the wrapped up the night at a friends making and eating homemade crepes with Nutella and Bannana.

I have had an amazing year this year welcoming my baby girl, growing closer with my girls, starting my own business and making memories that will last a lifetime. I am so blessed and gratefull for all I have been given.

I have much more to post so I will make sure to stay on top of it this week!!!

So today is my birthday and I am so excited for the festivities. Today I am having breakfast with my favorite people my hubby and my little girl. Then tonight is dinner with my parents and tomorrow the fun continues with dinner and drinks in the City with my friends. Sunday it is back to the city for a meeting with one of my brides. I have always been a fan and vintage jewelry. I was recently given a few vintage pieces from my grandma. Among them was my favorite a vintage colcktail ring with jade and tiny diamonds. I adore it and I love the history and meaning behind it.

I adore Burberry Prorsum, mean there is nothing more classic than Burberry but Burberry Prorsum has an edgy twist that I love. I just can't get enough of their twist on a classic trench or the impeccable draping on the dresses. The 2010 spring collection is splashed with wonderful pastels.

I just cannot choose a favorite I would wear each and every piece!!

Hello gorgeous ones. So in honor of cyber Monday I have decided to post some fabulous finds I found on TopShop. I would love to know what you think of these items. I am in LOVE with TopShop so I just had to do a post for it. I cannot get enough of it. This weekend I am so excited I am heading down to L.A. for much needed little getaway so My hubby and I will pack up the car with all of are things and our little girl and head to our cousins house. My Little Girl

I decided today to take a step away from fashion to reflect. Nine months ago yesterday a beautiful baby girl was placed on my chest and looked me directly in the eyes and from that moment on I was in love. Becoming a mom is the single most incredable thing one could ever experience in their life time. We named her Emma Grace and I cannot believe our little girl has grown up so fast. I am already planning her first birthday. I amazed how quickly life passes. My little girl has brought my amazing husband and I even closer. I am so lucky to have such and amazing partner in life. We love spending time as a family. Miss Emma is sleeping while I type this blog entry and as I reflect on the past nine months all I can do is smile. This experience has forever changed me. When I hear of a child abduction I cringe thinking of what that that must do to the parents. When she falls over I run to catch her, never wanting her to feel pain. When I look at the world I fear for her. My life has been flipped upside down and I love it!!!

I while back I did a boudoir photo shoot with the amazing Christine Taylor. These photos were for my husband and because they are mostly for his eyes only and I respect our relationship I can only share a few.
