The Baby is Coming

I am going to be taking the month of May off from posting. I am due on the 10th and I cannot wait to spend sometime with my sweet little boy, 3 year old daughter and hubby. I have to leave you with my nursery I have just finished for my little boy.

Since our little boy will be sharing a room with our little girl I had to think of a good way to keep it neutral. I decided to do the whole room in grey and white and then used pops of teal on the boys side of the room and pops of coral on Emma's side.

I began by painting grey & white stripes on the wall where the white crib would go.

Then I wanted to mix in a modern geographic print for his sheet so I picked up this one on Etsy.

I also wanted a chevron print blanket. I stumbled upon this amazing knitted grey and white chevron blanket from Etsy as well. This blanket is simply stunning I adore it.

Next it was time to finish off the wall to the left of his little crib.

I had a set of antlers which I painted white and mounted on a wood placard which I also painted white. Next, I found this cool canvas print at HomeGoods and it was the perfect fit to inspire my little one. This amazing mobile was the hardest thing to find. I am very picky about putting cheesy kids things on them or in their room. After searching every where for a non cheesy mobile I took my search to Etsy and low and behold there was this perfect handmade airplane mobile made from recycled paper.

I am so happy with how this room came together. Hope you enjoy your May and I will see you back here soon.

Stages of Beauty Review

I recently received Stages of Beauty HARMONY  Invigorating Toner and I immediately fell in love. This light, clean and refreshing toner was made just for women in their 30s. Stages of Beauty prides itself on their age-specific skincare solutions. I love that they have products to directly cater to my age group. The Harmony line is specifically formulated for women in their 30s to focus on promoting the skins natural ability to exfoliate and regenerate new skin cells while supporting collagen and elastin.

The first time I sprayed this toner on my cotton pad I was invigorated by the fresh clean scent. Then using the cotton pad I swiped it across my face and neck leaving my skin feeling refreshed and clean. I normally have very dry skin and toners typically leave my skin feeling dry but, this toner was different it left my skin feeling refreshed and invigorated.

Pop on over to the Stage of Beauty website to learn more about the brand and about your age-specific skincare treatment.

Hair Must Have Reviews

I have a specific ritual when it comes to my hair. I am always up to try new products, but always go back to my favs. I have thin and typically dry hair, so I am always in need of moisture and volume. I always have people complimenting my hair and asking my how I keep it looking so healthy even though I have tons of blonde highlights which can definitely damage hair. I decided to spill my secrets here in my blog.

First up I mix in my hand a dime size squirt of Pureology Hydrate Antifade Complex Shampoo and Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo for blonde & silver hair. The Shimmer Lights keeps my blonde from turning brassy or yellow and the Pureology keeps my highlighted hair healthy and hydrated.

{Pureology Hydrate Shampoo $29.99}                                       {Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo $8.29}

Next, I lather on Joico K-PAK Conditioner. This thick creamy conditioner repairs dry and damaged hair with it's Keratin Silicone Complex. I have yet to find any other conditioner that hydrates better leaving my hair silky smooth.

After towel drying my hair I squeeze one pump of Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum into my palm and work into my hair from ends to roots. The divine smelling serum works wonders sealing in essential oils and conditioning. A little goes a long way in fighting off frizz in any weather and cuts drying time in half.

Before I start the blow dryer I also spritz Rusk Thick Body and Texture Amplifyer all over my hair making sure to work it into the roots as well. This spray adds the perfect amount of volume and texture to my otherwise limp, fine hair.

*A little trick: When I blow dry I start by flipping over my head and drying the underneath. Then I flip it back when I am almost done and use a round brush to lift hair up while I finish. This also adds a ton of volume. Finish with a blast of cool air to seal the cuticle which adds shine.

Lastly, I spray Kenra Volume Spray 25 all over to finish. This hairspray is the perfect balance of a great hold and yet the hair still has movement. Nothing can beat it.

I would love to know what your go to products are?

Spring Must Haves

Hello Gorgeous readers I have been swamped lately, so sorry for the lack of post. I decide today to give you my top picks for spring. These are just a few things I cannot live without this spring. You will notice color plays a huge part in my MUST HAVES this spring. Let me know what your faves are.

The first is a bright & bold pair of jeans. I recently purchase a cobalt blue, brick red and mint green pair.

Something lacy and girly this Nanette Lepore little number will do the trick.

If your like me and have super dry skin to begin with Summer can be your enemy. I found just the solution this extremely hydrating mask from Origins. I just brush it on before bed and wake up with plump & hydrated skin glowing.

A frilly and flirty little dress for date nights or a girls night out.

A neon belt is the the perfect way to add color to a not so vibrant outfit. I like to mix up a jeans and T-shirt day with a bright belt. I have this one in neon orange, neon pink and seafoam.

Lastly a statement clutch. Marc Jacobs bright yellow beauty is at the top of my list. It adds just the perfect pop of color day or night.

Gold glitter can bring the party to a daytime ensemble or add a touch of glamour to your night either way I try to never leave home without it.
